Appellant was convicted of possession of heroin as a result of an arrest and search on December 26, 1967, of the apartment which he occupied. He contends that the search violated Chimel v. California, 395 U.S. 752, 89 S. Ct. 2034, 23 L. Ed. 2d 685 (1969), and Fresneda v. State, 458 P.2d 134 (Alaska 1969), because it was a general search of the entire apartment without a search warrant.
